As Vocation Expo 2009 was such a success, we were persuaded to run it again as Vocation Expo 2010. It was held over four days at Hayes, Middlesex, from October 21st to October 24th.
Aim
To share the experience of vocation in the Church and the world today in order to inspire people to explore what it means for them to live out their own vocation.
Objectives
- To engage people to reflect on their own personal call
- Provide information on vocational choices that exist in the Church today
- To provide formative experience
- To provide spaces and forums for formative experiences in prayer and Christian life
- To illustrate various kinds of vocation within the Church and the world
A four day Programme of exhibitions, workshops and talks was assembled. You are warmly invited to watch some of the many interesting Presentations.
Gallery
You can share a little in the wonderful experience we had together by viewing our Gallery of Photographs from the Expo.
Competition
A Poster Competition was held in the months leading up to the Expo, with the winners chosen by those attending the Expo. The winner was Ruri Clark, of St. Mary’s, Southampton.
Lay Vocations

Parishioners told of their Lay Vocations in the run up to the Expo, showing the variety of vocations that are available within the church, not necessarily as professed Religious.
Fundraising

You can also read more about the funding that we needed and secured to make a success of the four day Expo. A Fundraising Dance raised a total of £1170. Follow the link for a gallery of photos from the event.
